GLENDALE, Ariz. — Starting to sense a theme when it comes to Camden Brown? Most likely, considering all the talented young receiver does is make plays. A campaign of doing so that truly took flight with the Georgia Southern Eagles has made its way to the Dallas Cowboys, where the undrafted rookie continues to soar.

Brown's training camp in Oxnard was headlined by highlight catches, almost daily, and he went on to steal the show in the preseason opener with a two-touchdown showing against the Seattle Seahawks. One week later, he was serving up a 70-yard catch-and-run on a pass from Joe Milton that proved consistency isn't an issue.

"Just doing what I gotta do," he said.

And, unironically, that exact play in Arizona was a replica of Brown's first catch in OTAs, when Milton was under duress during a practice rep and found him on the left sideline running the same route.

It's all coming together for Brown, not that it's ever felt otherwise, also leaning heavily on trying to become a special teams ace to deepen his value to the Cowboys.

"Shoot, I just feel like I'm making the best of the opportunity whenever it comes my way," Brown told DallasCowboys.com. "I'm blessed to even say I'm in his locker room with a bunch of vets that's done it big. I feel like practice was really good, and that's just where it started. I start it from practice, and that's the preparation piece of it. So when I come out here, it slows down for me.

"I feel like just stacking a week on top of a week, that's how I can make this team and keep doing what I got to do. So really, that's really what it is, for real."

To put it plainly, the native of Monroe, Louisiana is inching ever closer to making that dream a reality. With two practices remaining, both in Dallas, and the preseason finale against the New Orleans Saints on Friday, Brown simply needs to continue doing what he's doing to potentially stamp his name onto the Cowboys' roster for 2026.

If that happens, it'll be the culmination of a long journey fueled by the perseverance of his late sister who died at the age of 17 of kidney failure, and who Brown again mentioned following his big play against the Cardinals — also noting a moment of anxiety when the necklace containing her picture flew off when he took a big hit in what he deemed to be his "welcome to the NFL" moment.

Thankfully, the necklace was recovered, and Brown got right back to honoring her with his work ethic and big-play ability.

"I know who I'm doing it for." Brown said, fighting back tears as he remembered his younger sister. "So, at the end of the day, it ain't too big. I won't make it bigger than what it is."
